In preparation for response to the recent and current hurricane threats Crisis Care Network’s Disaster Response Leadership Team has prepared diligently to care for the individuals and organizations within harm’s way. A summary of activities to increase immediate scalability includes:
Tactical adjustments to our Disaster Response Plan Guidelines to outline multiple contingency plans as indicated by this disaster.
CCN staff and auxiliary staff placed on readiness alert status.
Proactive communication with customers to assess exposure and coordinate response efforts.
Adjusted internal and external communication planning.
Increased technological capabilities to increase communication capabilities and data management.
Contacted Gulf-area, geographic “second-tier”, and select specially-trained CCN Specialists for readiness.
Adjusted Customer client summit and client consult content specific to this disaster.
Engaged a multi-media production company to produce Disaster Response Monitor as can be accessed via the link below. Today’s video focuses upon how organizational leaders must plan to lead in a phase-sensitive way. The ACT crisis communication process is also outlined.
At this time it appears as though nearly 2 million Gulf-area residents will be returning to their communities at week’s end. Employers groups will be pulling their teams back together to address business continuity issues – including the human element. Leadership will be crucial. Simultaneously, Hurricane Hannah is likely to reach landfall somewhere on the US’s southeast coast. Let’s be ready.
